When submitting suggestions, voting, uploading cat photos to the pinboard, or interacting with the Website, you agree to:

  • Not submit offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content
  • Not spam, harass, or abuse other users
  • Respect intellectual property rights
  • Not attempt to manipulate voting systems
  • Only upload images you own or have permission to share
  • Upload only appropriate cat photos to the pinboard (images are validated using AI)
  • Complete bot verification challenges (Cloudflare Turnstile) when required

4. Content Ownership

All educational content, tutorials, and materials provided on coding.kitty remain the property of coding.kitty. By submitting topic suggestions, feedback, or cat photos, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, display, and publish your submissions.

You retain ownership of any cat photos you upload to the pinboard, but grant us permission to display them publicly on the Website. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or is deemed inappropriate.

5. Disclaimer

The materials on coding.kitty are provided on an 'as is' basis. coding.kitty makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

6. Limitations

In no event shall coding.kitty or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on the Website.

7. Cat Pinboard Feature

The cat pinboard feature allows users to upload photos of their cats. By using this feature, you acknowledge that:

  • Uploaded images are validated using AI to ensure they contain cats
  • Images must be under 20MB and in JPEG, PNG, or WebP format
  • Images are stored on third-party cloud storage and displayed publicly
  • We reserve the right to remove any images that violate these terms
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to upload the images

8. Donations and Sponsorships

All donations and sponsorships are voluntary and non-refundable. Donations support the creation of free educational content and do not guarantee any specific content or priority.

9. Analytics and Cookies

We use PostHog to understand how visitors use our website. Our cookie banner offers two buttons, “Accept all cookies” and “Accept essential cookies only”. Pressing either one means you agree to:

  • Allow PostHog to store a visitor ID in your browser and collect usage data tied to it
  • Enable tracking of page views, interactions, and feature usage
  • Allow the actions you take — such as pinboard uploads, votes, suggestions, comments, and form submissions — to be recorded as analytics events tied to that visitor ID, both in your browser and on our backend when it confirms them
  • Help us improve the website based on user behavior insights

“Accept essential cookies only” discloses that the cookies needed for the site to function — bot protection and session state — are set regardless of your choice; it is not a way to keep analytics off. Before you answer either way, PostHog runs cookielessly and stores nothing on your device. You can revoke a previous choice by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the banner back. 10. Modifications
