AI agent skills and MCP serversA short list, read before it was listed

Skills and MCP servers make AI coding tools like Claude Code, Codex and Cursor far more useful. They also run with your files, your terminal and your accounts, and the big directories list thousands with nobody checking them.

This list is short on purpose. We read every entry, pin the exact version we checked, and say plainly what it can read and change. Each one comes with the setup for the tool you use.

Skills and MCP servers

A skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file in it: a short description, then instructions your AI agent loads only when the task matches. It teaches the agent a way of working, like planning before coding or writing a proper commit message. Read the guide.

Agent skills

10 skills

An MCP server is a small program that gives your AI agent new tools, like reading GitHub issues, driving a browser or querying a database. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard that lets one server work in Claude, Cursor, VS Code and the rest. Read the guide.
